Our Leadership Structure

The Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is composed of representatives from both medical/mental health specialties as well as faith leaders representing pastoral care, eldership and diaconate among others. Board members represent their specialty to the foundation, keeping the rest of the board up to date on advancements, concerns, and topics of interest. In addition they set policy, goals, and budgets that help the foundation achieve its mission with direction and precision.

Contributors

Our Contributors help produce the content that the foundation provides. We hope that through publishing gospel-centered, academically rigorous, and scientifically sound materials we can support you as you navigate the ever-changing landscape of modern medicine.

Affiliates

Our Affiliates are other organizations such as nonprofits or churches with which we have a relationship of mutual encouragement and support. We regularly assess our connections with these groups and prayerfully and/or financially support their ministries.

Board of Directors

Adam O’Neill

Executive Director, Board of Directors, Psychiatry Chair

Adam graduated from Wheaton College (IL) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology in 2015 after which he attended Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia earning his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. He began work in psychiatry as a PA in 2019. In 2023 he moved to Northern Virginia where he works at his private practice Adam O’Neill & Associates. In December of 2023 he incorporated the Faith and Medicine Foundation and serves as its Executive Director. He is the author of The Mind after Eden: Psychiatry in a Post-Fall World, The Patience of Hope: Encouragement for the Sufferer through the life and ministry of George Matheson, and The Mind for His Glory: A Theory of Applied Christian Psychiatry (forthcoming). He is a member of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C.


Michael Coleman

Board of Directors, Pastor Emeritus Chair

Michael L. Coleman - Is Pastor Emeritus in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). He served as an Area Director for Young Life in Rhode Island for 8 years, a Pastor at Grace Reformed Episcopal Church in Havre de Grace MD for 3 years and then was Pastor of The Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bowie, in Bowie MD for 37 years. He has 3 sons, 3 daughters-in-law and 10 grandchildren. He currently lives in Bradenton Fl with his wife Barbara.


Brandon Haase

Board of Directors, Legal Chair

Brandon works as an attorney specializing in litigating constitutional and regulatory issues in courts throughout the country. He has served in several branches of government, including as counsel to several committees in the United States Senate and as a clerk in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He earned his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School and his B.A. in American Studies from North Greenville University. After many years in DC, Brandon moved with his wife to North Carolina, where they plan to help plant Trinity Baptist Church. They plan to love their neighbors and their church, and hope to serve in various roles, including counseling, music, and student ministry.


Eliza Huie

Counseling & Psychology Chair

Eliza Huie (MA, LCPC) is the director of counseling at McLean Bible Church located in the Washington, DC, metro area. She is also dean of biblical counseling for Metro Baltimore Seminary in Maryland and the author several books including The Whole Life: 52 Weeks of Biblical Self-Care, Count Yourself Calm, and with Kyle Johnston, How to Get the Most Out of Your Counseling. Serennah Harding

Primary Care (Internal Medicine) Chair

Serennah Harding is passionate about people receiving evidence-based medical care that accounts for their mind, body, and spiritual design. She has served as a volunteer biblical counselor and deacon at her local church while she practices outpatient Primary Care medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, and served 11 years in the United States Navy as a physician before entering civilian practice. She served tours with the Marines and the Senate after her Internal Medicine residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Michelle Kelley

Curriculum Development and Church Liaison

Michelle serves in Women's Ministry at College Church in Wheaton, after previously working with missionaries around the world, planning events at a local non-profit, and teaching middle and high school Bible classes. She graduated Wheaton College with a B.A. in Bible & Theology and continues to use her degree in several spheres, most of which are based in and around Wheaton, Illinois. She spends much of her time working on her garden beds, hosting friends for bonfires, and enjoying the beautiful Midwest.


David Hicks

Video Production

David is a full time videographer and editor. He is passionate about creating content and keeping viewers engaged. His areas of expertise range from wedding, event, and interview videography to graphic design and animation. In his spare time he is learning coding and enjoys spending time outside running.


Ashley Hicks

Quality Control and Administrative

Ashley’s educational and vocational callings mostly revolve around child development and education. Ashley received her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Liberty University and worked with four and five year old students for five years. After, she worked for a local church as the Early Childhood Director. Now she is a full time mom to Jeremiah and taking classes for Biblical Counseling. In her free time she enjoys working for their home apiary doing sales and marketing.


Sarah Asaro

Graphic Design

Sarah is a Michigan based designer whose body of work includes portrait photography, photo journalism, graphic design, print design, web design, video production, and instructional design. She currently serves as the Communications Director for Woodland Church in West Michigan. Sarah is a firm believer in the power, and necessity, of creative excellence and visual storytelling in communicating one’s vision. She is deeply motivated by the challenge to translate a, once hidden, vision into an engaging invitation.
